ONLY FRESH AND LOCAL INGREDIENTS

To make the best tasting pies, you have to have the best ingredients. This is why we only use locally sourced ingredients for all of our bakery products. The meat is from New Zealand dairy farms and the boneless chicken breasts sourced from a local poultry farm. All of our vegetables are sourced locally on the day of cooking (including the potatoes for our potato top pies – yes we use real potato!!). Get fresh, get flavour … get an Andersons Pie.

There are no short cuts to the process, when the secret to good baking is using the best ingredients available. You will find no substitutes or frozen products here.

THE PIE MAKING PROCESS

Andersons have a strict process of preparing and baking their pies. Big flavours, good nutrition and the perfect temperature for eating are expected every time you bite into an Andersons Pie. We don’t leave anything to chance and the complete production process is carried out in our state of the art bakery in Hawera. Our in-house butcher carefully prepares the protein, while the pastry is mixed, formed and sheeted ready for use. While the fillings are gently cooking, the trays are laid on the large format tables and the pastry layered over top. The pies are delicately filled before the lids are placed on top and they are baked to perfection. Five minutes later, they are in the belly of a very happy customer.
